An exciting opportunity is available in Accounting Control:

• Review the production of complex accounting journals to ensure our financial information is complete and accurate
• Review technical accounting decisions made on new business term sheets
• Ensure a timely and controlled month-end & quarter-end close process
• Review manual disclosures produced within the team
• Support continuous improvement of quality, efficiency and effectiveness of controls
• Opportunities to rotate into Netting or Disclosure roles within Accounting Control

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• You should be a qualified accountant
• Experience of working in Banking or auditing Financial Services.
• Understanding of various basic banking products like Futures, Swaps, Bonds, IRS, CDS etc.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and deadlines
• Experience in automation, acceleration and optimization
• Excellent MS Office skills including ability to work on large Excel files with complex formulae and vlookups/pivots
• Knowledge of optimization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI etc would be an advantage.
