Job Description
                        
	- Greet patients and visitors to inpatient areas, directing them as appropriate and informing the relevant clinical staff of their arrival
 
	- Answer all telephone calls politely ensuring enquiries are dealt with appropriately and that any relevant information is passed on to the appropriate person
 
	- Ensure all relevant details are accurately entered on to the electronic patient administration system
 
	- Ensure appointments are offered to patients within National statutory waiting times, escalating to the Inpatient Team Leader when this is not possible
 
	- Communicate with service users in a sympathetic and empathetic manner using tact and diplomacy both in person and over the telephone.
 
	- To communicate effectively with all members of staff and external agencies ensuring that a professional manner is maintained at all times.
