                        Job Description
                        Key Responsibilities:
	- Log and track all shipments
 
	- Scheduling of all contracts and shipments directly with suppliers
 
	- Establish freight rates directly with shippers and hauliers
 
	- Establish and verify duty rates
 
	- Ensure all documentation regarding import regulations with the EEC is in order and correct
 
	- Liaise with nominated clearing agents
 
	- Timely and accurate completion of import and export customs entries and declarations
 
	- Update inhouse computer system in accordance with the company’s day to day business practices
 
	- Liaise with clearing agents in a timely manner to ensure that all documentation is in order and presented to them to avoid excess handling charges
 
	- Work with the senior management team to ensure a smooth process
 
	- Support other colleagues or departments when necessary
 
The Person
	- At least 5 years previous experience in logistics/shipping/transport
 
	- Knowledge of EU and non-EU import and export processes
 
	- Experience of international shipping documentation
 
	- Knowledge of Brexit impacts
 
	- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and used to working to deadlines
 
	- Accuracy and attention to detail
 
	- Proactive, ability to work using own initiative
