Job Description
The assessment aspect of becoming a driving instructor consists of three main parts:
- Part 1: theory test
- Part 2: practical driving test
- Part 3: instructional ability test.

In addition, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) insists you will need:
- A full UK licence (or approved foreign licence) for at least 3 1/2 years.
- To have not been banned from driving in the last 4 years.
- To have no more than 6 points on your licence.
- To be a 'fit and proper' person (in the opinion of the DVSA).
