Job Description

The key responsibilities of the successful Assistant Transport Manager will include:

• People Management - development / training of staff.
• Monitoring and managing of all KPI's across the Depot.
• Responsible for all transport compliance and the safe transit of all goods in line with regulations.
• Day to day driver management - investigations, disciplinaries etc.
• Driver briefings/de briefs.
• Ensuring maintenance of vehicles is up to standard.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience managing in operations with over 40+ vehicles. Experience upholding and raising KPI achievements. Comfortable managing large teams of drivers, dealing with issues in a calm, effective manner. Have strong knowledge of all relevant transport legislation. Be a strong people manager. Live within commutable distance of Southall.
