Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Assistant / Lab Assistant to join an established food manufacturer on the outskirts of Exeter. Some lab and general administration experience an advantage however full training can be provided.

The successful candidate, under the direction of the Technical Co-Ordinator, will be responsible for:-

• Providing a testing, QA and QC service within the Laboratory technical functions for both chemistry and microbiological functions on a shift rota basis
• Maintenance of the shelf life testing of finished products
• Ensuring that weekly and monthly laboratory calibrations are carried out to CLAS standards

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Previous experience in a Technical environment with knowledge of working within a Quality Management System (desirable) ICT skills to include Microsoft Office packages (essential) Strong numeracy ability and communication skills, written and verbal (essential)
