Job Description
                        The role would be ideal for anyone who works within the charity or arts sectors and is looking for a leadership role in finance. Similarly qualified applicants from outside the sector who would like a key operational role within one of the country’s leading artistic venues, are welcomed. The role will suit someone who is excited by the idea of working in a fast-changing environment and having a hands-on approach to supporting and maintaining good internal controls and being able and willing to implement process improvements.
You will be responsible for:
	- Liaison with the external auditors and management of the audit process for all entities
 
	- Preparation of statutory financial statements and narrative
 
	- Submissions to Companies House and The Charities Commission
 
	- Quarterly and Annual VAT return preparation and submission
 
	- Filing of tax returns – CT and supervision of PAYE
 
	- Supervision of pension filings
 
	- Preparation of monthly financial accounting and group consolidation for all entities
 
	- Ownership of balance sheet accounts and completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
 
	- Responsibility for accounting for restricted funds
 
	- Responsible for accurate posting of monthly payrolls
 
	- Ownership of the financial controls for transactions and accounting
 
	- Regular updating of financial controls documentation with stakeholders
 
	- Monthly management accounts preparation and reporting for the Development Team, Education and Community, Capital projects and Theatre Management.
 
	- Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for the same budget holders
 
	- Ownership of the finance system and chart of accounts;
 
	- Act as super user and provide training to new users;
 
	- Plan and manage the delivery of regular system updates
 
	- Line management of two team members, Transactions Manager and Management Accountant.
 
	- Leadership of these areas of activity.
