Job Description
Responsible for managing a panel of Brokers in the collection of outstanding inwards Premiums.
Assist Credit Control Manager in preparation of management reports
Act as a subject matter expert on London Market Credit Control for other team members (across Open Market, Binder, Lineslip and Treaty Business)
Liaise with Underwriters in respect of debt issues with brokers as necessary, escalating as appropriate
Use market systems to identify what has been paid and signed.
Monitors and updates appropriate systems when premiums have been collected.
Undertake face-to-face meetings with Brokers with to resolve issues and improve aged receivables balances
Liaise with the Credit Control Manager regarding best practice and strategies for handling collections
Feedback and alert the Credit Control Manager with any relevant market information on Broker performance
Attend the relevant Market meetings/ updates / training sessions to enhance knowledge and monitor changes in market premium and settlement procedures.
Maintain an up-to-date narrative on aged receivables items for inclusion in management reports.
Use formal reporting mechanisms to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures.
At all times consider the effect of any actions taken on the customers of company with the intention of improving their experience.

Advanced Excel skills
London Market Technical Accounting applications (preferably Iris)
Self-Managing
Strong Communicator within team and outward to UW’s and Brokers
Proactive approach to issue resolution
