Job Description

• Driving improvements in the group control environment, across the commercial business
• Designing and implementing robust processes both inside and outside of Finance
• Ownership of the balance sheet across the group, ensuring accurate and reconciled numbers
• Ownership of statutory compliance reporting, payments and correspondence with tax and other authorities
• Management of the statutory audit and close relationship with auditors
• Delivering improvement projects across finance and non-finance teams
• Responsibility for confirming accuracy of payment runs and maintaining a view of cash levels
• Ad hoc analysis as required by Finance Manager, Head of Finance and senior management
• Opportunity to experience all aspects of Finance
• Deputizing for Finance Manager as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), likely 1-3 years PQE
• Experience of implementing new processes and improving control environments
• Experience with statutory reporting, Audit and compliance
• Experience working in an FMCG/Retail/Wholesale environment or if from practice, with clients operating in these environments (desirable)
• Experience in a multi-currency working environment (desirable)
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence both financial and non-financial people
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Strong IT (advanced Excel) and technical financial skills
• Ability to priorities and manage upwards
