We are currently looking for an admin clerical assistant within the antenatal clinic. You are responsible for covering clerical duties for the outpatient and community departments; however we also support the rest of the maternity unit as required.
We are currently looking to recruit to our team of eight clerical staff a motivated flexible individual. You must be able to work as part of a strong team as well as using your own initiative as you will be working in an extremely busy environment that is target led, therefore good communications skills are required. As part of your roll you will be dealing with the public on a daily basis as well as an extended multidisciplinary team and outside agencies.
Confidentiality is essential within this job role, basic computer skills are also required as well as previous administration skills. This is a Rota based roll with different tasks that can sometimes change daily to meet service requirements
To provide a comprehensive and quality administration service to the designated department and priorities their workload liaising closely with other administration staff and management within the department. Provide administration support to the wider multidisciplinary team, including consultants. Ensure that all targets are met in accordance with Maternity guide lines. Accurate input of data within both the PAS and Maternity systems.
Taking phone calls and redirecting the caller to the appropriate member of staff if necessary. Taking on all aspects of the role on a rotational basis. Making sure the maternity records are filed correctly with all paperwork hole punched and securely inserted into the records.
Ensuring demographics are up to date, all women have the correct appointments made according to their set pathway also making sure the community work books are looked at and completed daily.
To ensure that Maternity notes are filed accurately and that the office is kept clean and tidy, stationary is fully stocked and any replacements needed related to the members of staff in charge of ordering. The role holder will also be expected to be flexible to cover the late reception duties and to cover sickness and annual leave. To ensure that due diligence is applied to all aspects of this role.
We are making progress and going forward by working in partnership with local GPs, charities, community services, academic partners, our local authority, neighbouring hospitals and the wider North West London Integrated care system, and ensuring that we listen and work in partnership with our local population.
