Job Description
- Forecast depreciation / amortization for companies fixed assets
- Process requests related to capital projects (i.e. opening, closing, adjusting) and monitor open projects
- Process fixed asset additions, adjustments, retirements and transfers in SAP
- Calculate and post accruals related to Fixed Assets in SAP (i.e. CIP and Depreciation)
- Reconcile and verify fixed asset ledger with cost center owners
- Measure and report on fixed asset impairment
- Process reclasses related to fixed assets in SAP (inclusive of capitalizable turnaround entries)
- Assist in annual asset verification process
- Intangible-asset accounting
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting (or local equivalent)
- Professional accountancy Qualification such as, CPA, CFA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in a relevant finance and/or accounting role, preferably in a GBS environment and/or related to Fixed Assets
- SAP Experience with S/4 and/or ECC a plus (especially Fixed asset specific programs)
- Strong enterprise business acumen, knowledge and understanding of work processes performed by Finance, particularly related to Fixed Assets
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, supervisors, and customers
- Strong analytical and time management skill
