Accountant
Full-time, Temporary
Job Description
- Prepare monthly journals for prepayments and accruals, liaising with budget holders regarding expenditure that has been incurred but not invoiced.
- Month end balance sheet reconciliations/ report preparations.
- Oversee intercompany current account reconciliation
- Prepare and post the monthly payroll journal, liaising with Payroll Departments to follow up on any queries
- Preparation of quarterly VAT return
- Preparing annual statutory accounts year-end audit preparation.
- Liaising with overseas offices
- Ad hoc duties as and when required within finance including but not limited to information and reports preparation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- IT literate including strong Microsoft Excel skills as a minimum Good organizational skills
- Good understanding of financial accounting and businesses processes
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Part/finalist qualified (CIMA/ACCNACA) and/or studying towards ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Minimum of three years' experience working within an accounting environment
- Experience of management accounting, and ideally experience of managing their own corporate entity/entities
- Experience of using accounting software packages
