Job Description
- Reviewing and reporting to senior team on analysis of monthly cost reports for all head office departments.
- Building relationships with internal peer group to understand and forecast overhead costs.
- Holding monthly budget review meetings with each department and set action plans.
- Attending and present financial information to store managers at area meetings.
- Delivering insightful analysis to support and challenge commercial and operational decision making
- Oversee and review weekly trade analysis for all business channels around Sales, Margin and Stock.
- Supporting the core finance team with monthly analysis to budget across all P&L lines
- Attending monthly P&L and balance sheet review and take ownership of commercial finance / brand actions
- Review and deliver monthly analysis of all business channels with commentary.
- Preparation and review of the monthly Board pack
- Taking ownership of and prepare (with assistance from the commercial finance analyst) the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and annual five year plan
- Monthly balance sheet and cashflow forecasting
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CA
- Experience operating in a multi-site environment
- Previous retail experience beneficial, but not essential
- Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Process and system understanding
- Business Appraisal and Analysis
- Management Accounts
- Advanced Excel
