Financial Accountant

Job Description
- Receive, maintain and process payment requests from Suppliers and Internal customers.
- Able to use the company's Account Payable system to ensure prompt payment of Invoices matching invoices to purchase orders.
- Fully understand the three way matching concept when dealing with Payments related to orders raised on the company's eProcurement module.
- Ensure all records are maintained in such a way as to ensure that they are readily available and accessible to all parties.
- Ensure that all activities undertaken reflect and respect environmental considerations in accordance with company Policy
- Promote the service by whatever means are appropriate and available so as to ensure a positive image to customers and the rest of the Authority.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience working in a finance team or department supporting on Accounts Payable or General Ledger
- Experience of processing invoices, matching to the relevant order line.
- Experience of using financial systems and database applications
- Background in public sector beneficial but not essential
