Location: Borehamwood/Office based
Rate: £14.36ph + holiday accrued
Term: Full Time – Temporary to Permanent
Days: Monday to Friday
Times: 09:00am - 17:00pm with a half hour lunch break

We’re working with a client in the Borehamwood area, well established in their market since 1986 and known for their high levels of service. They are looking for an account’s assistant to join their growing team. The right person needs to be dynamic, analytical and can work to strict deadlines.
What does an Accounts Assistant’s day look like?
- Oversee the cycle of daily accounts payable
- Prepares and reviews journal entries
- Nominal ledger analysis and review
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Assists in managing the period end closing
- Assists in preparing year-end financial statements and audit process
- Prepayments and accruals
- Fixed assets processing and depreciation calculations
- Bank Reconciliations
- Stock Reconciliation
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with Credit control and processing payments
- Assists with HR processes
Accounts Assistant - key skills required:
- Ideally have previously worked in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and good communicator
- Good excel knowledge (Pivot tables and Vlookup)
- Preferable Microsoft Dynamics Navision user
- AAT / ACCA/ CIMA part qualified
