Job Description
- Managing the month-end duties
- Managing ledgers (& Subledgers)
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Overseeing processes such as VAT, audits etc
- Overseeing cash flow
- Overseeing a team to maintain accurate accounting records
- Supporting the team in developing continuous improvements
- Liaising with internal and external customers
- Ad-hoc tasks to support function
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A clear understanding of accounting duties and responsibilities
- Min. three years in a senior finance role, two years of General Ledger experience.
- Experience of a multi subsidiary business
- Previous experience of working within a high-volume transaction business.
- Strong VAT return, balance sheet and Government Gateway experience
- Experience with systems such as Sage 200
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong numerical skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Proven problem-solving experience
