Financial Accountant

Job Description
- Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of financial accounts for month and quarterly close
- Preparation & distribution of financial reports and statements
- Support the work and development of 1 or 2 Assistant Accountants within the team
- Be the main contact for Tax/Audit liaison
- Group consolidation and reporting
- Contribute to strategic continuous improvement initiatives in the organization and incorporate the changes as required
- Project Accounting
- Cover for banking/treasury
- Fixed Assets & leasing
- Rebate Accounting
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Qualified Accountant - ACCA, ACA with at least 2+ years of experience in a financial accounting/Record to Report role
- Previous experience working in a Shared Services environment or handling large clients within an accountancy practice is preferred
- Flexible and willing to work in a "hands on" manner to ensure that all tasks are completed by the team on a timely basis
- Possesses the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Able to assimilate large amounts of information quickly
- Ability to handle change effectively
- Ability to organize own workload effectively to ensure completion of work
