Job Description
- Supporting a varied portfolio of clients throughout the year
- Preparing of accounts, Corporation Tax returns, and Personal Tax returns up to the final review stage
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Discussing and resolving accounts queries with clients
- Identifying, researching, and helping to resolve technical issues that may arise
- Assisting with any ad hoc project work as required by clients
- Supporting other members of staff
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of Xero and experience working with clients who use this software
- Previous experience working in an Accountant's Practice
- Technically competent in all aspects of accounts and tax preparation with the ability to prepare for to review stage
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use formulas and manage data with spreadsheets
- Motivated to maintain up-to-date technical knowledge
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable, innovative, and able to work proactively and on your own initiative
- Ability to take a flexible approach to work with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Conscientious with excellent attention to detail
- Willing to be involved and support all areas of the business
- Experienced in the use of a range of cloud accounting software
